Tears as remains of man killed by lawyer-wife arrive church
The remains of Oyelowo Ajanaku, who was allegedly stabbed to death
by his wife in Ibadan have arrived at the St, Paul’s Anglican Chruch,
Gbogan amidst weeping and wailing by members of his family, friends and
other sympathisers.
The white casket bearing his remains is being received at the
entrance of the church where a brief service will be held before the
interment.
The atmosphere inside the church is tense.
Some chiefs who are representing the Olufi of Gbongan, Oba Adetoyese Odugbemi, have also arrived for the service.
Yoruba tradition forbids ‘Obas’ to see corpses. However, the monarch sent a delegation to represent him at the service.
The deceased was born into Olujide Ruling House of Owoope’s
Compound on Monday, March 20, 1978 and was alledgely stabbed to death by
his wife, Yewande on February 2, 2016.
