UPDATE - Daddy Freeze Replies William Uchemba Over Comment On Youths Insulting Elders

Media personality Daddy Freeze has replied actor Williams Uchemba for his post about youths not respecting the elders...

Williams had released a video bemoaning the state of things now, adding that many will know just how much damage they have caused much later.

Reacting to his post, Freeze wrote;
@williamsuchemba Good morning bro.
Although I agree that it’s wrong as Nigerians to insult our elders, the scriptures are clear on addressing Elders in the church and in the faith as a whole, when they are wrong, make mistakes or are sinning.

Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with rebuking elders publicly as long as it’s done politely. Paul rebuked Peter publicly in Gal2:11-17

In Matthew 23, Christ was less than 33 years of age when he could clearly be seen addressing teachers of false religion with insults, calling them blind fools and sons of vipers. These people he insulted were in their 70s, 80s and 90s.

If as Christians we are supposed to be Christlike, why are we afraid to emulate Christ in this regard?

Snakes! Sons of vipers! How will you escape the judgment of hell?

In addition to these, Kindly ponder over these other verses as well, do stay blessed. ~FRZ

But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning.

When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions?

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
