Guinness world records known from its inception in 1955 until 2000 as The Guinness Book of Records and in previous United States editions as The Guinness Book of World Records
, is a reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
There are so many records that have been broken from different countries and the book has sold 100 million copies in 100 different countries and 37 languages.

There are some interesting Health World Records and below are some:

Worst Pandemic
The pneumonic form of plague (bacterial infection), also known as the Black Death (1347-51), killed around a quarter of the population of Europe, and some 75 million worldwide.

Estimates based on local archives suggest that between one-eighth and two-thirds of the affected population died of the disease. Contemporary French historian Jean Froissart (1333-1419) believed that about one-third of the population of Europe-some 25 million people-succumbed in the first epidemic, an estimate which is now widely accepted by scientists and historians.

The disease still affects 1,000 to 3,000 people a year, but can now be cured.

Largest Virus
The world’s largest virus is Megavirus Chilensis and it is found in Chile. It was first isolated from a water sample collected off the Chilean coast in April 2010, Megavirus chilensis (or MGVC) has the largest capsid (protein shell) of any known virus, measuring 440 nm in diameter. This virus’s total diameter is approximately 700 nm, making it larger than some bacteria, and big enough to be seen not only with an electron microscope but also with a normal light microscope.

Largest Eye Health Screening
The largest eye health screening consisted of 11,715 people and was organised by the Shah Satnam Ji Research & Development Foundation (India) at Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa, Harayana, India, on 12 December 2013.

Most Pledges Received For Health Campaign
The most pledges received for a health campaign are 569,057 in total and was achieved by Zifi FDC Limited (India) at FDC Limited, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on 30 August 2019. The record attempt was aimed at detailing the adversity of non-compliance of prescribed therapy to patients, doctors, and all stakeholders.

First AIDs Case With An HIV Diagnosis
The earliest AIDS case for which an HIV diagnosis has been confirmed is that of an American youth who died in 1969. The case of a Manchester sailor believed to have died of AIDS in 1959 has recently been called into doubt, following the discovery that the strain of HIV isolated from stored tissue samples was virtually identical to strains prevalent 30 years later.

Most Deadly Bug
The bacterium Yersinia pestis caused the death of 25 million people in 14th Century Europe. It is named after French scientist Alexandre Yersin, who identified it in 1894, it causes bubonic plague which in turn is transmitted by fleas and rats.
