UPDATE - Nipsey Hussle's supposed Killer Eric Holder's series Rescheduled

The trial of Eric Holder, the alleged killer of hip hop artist Nipsey Hustle, has been postponed due to the

coronavirus pandemic.

Holder was expected to go on trial last month for the murder but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the trial has been rescheduled has been pushed back to June 8, according to recent jail records obtained by Vibe.

Eric Holder has been in police custody since he shot Nipsey Hussle in Los Angeles last year.

Holder is facing one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon. He previously entered a plea of not guilty to all charges.

 If convicted, Holder faces up to a maximum of a life sentence in prison.

Hussle was shot at least 10 times before being taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Nipsey’s friend, Kerry Lathan, was shot in the leg during the incident. Though Holder fled the crime scene, he was apprehended two days later nearly 30 miles away in Bellflower, California.

Born Ermias Joseph Asghedom, Nipsey Hussle became known for his numerous mixtapes, including his Bullets Ain’t Got No Name series, The Marathon, The Marathon Continues, and Crenshaw, the last of which rapper Jay-Z bought 100 copies for $100 each. After much delay, his debut studio album Victory Lap was released in 2018 to critical acclaim and commercial success and was nominated for the Best Rap Album at the 61st Grammy Awards in 2019. 

Two posthumous Grammy Awards for the songs “Racks in the Middle” and “Higher” were awarded to Hussle in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap/Sung Performance categories, respectively, the next year at the 62nd Grammy Awards.
