 A Nigerian police officer, Eddy Purity Tom, has taken to social

media to thank God for surviving Monday, April 5 attack on the state police headquarters by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

 

The assailants attacked the police headquarters as well as the correctional center in the state, destroying properties and also releasing criminals that were been held in the facilities.

 

Eddy who was on duty when the attack happened, shared photos of his burnt car while being optimistic he will get a better one. He also mentioned that someone is in the hospital battling for life.

 

His post reads

''The car is gone but my life is spared

Thank You Dear God.

By the power and favour from God Almighty I will still get another car, maybe even better than the avalon.

Someone is battling life at the hospital from the same attack. May God safe his life.''
