Departing Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, has chosen the jersey No.30
Picking a shirt number is one of the intricacies that follows a transfer to a new club.
And with the No.10 shirt being used by his former Barcelona teammate, Neymar, Messi has been offered no.30.
Recall that the 34-year-old was offered the No.10 shirt by his friend, Neymar, but he rejected it and one of the alternatives was the No.19, which he also wore in his youth.
The No.30, though, is likely to be chosen, even though it’s a number that usually is reserved for goalkeepers in Ligue 1.
Messi arrived in France on Tuesday afternoon to undergo medicals and possibly sign his contract.
