Buhari mourns Plateau PDP candidate, Pwajok

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said he was saddened over the death of the immediate past senator representing Plateau North senatorial district and Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in the April 11, 2015 election, Senator Gyang Pwajok.

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President, who received the news of Pwajok’s death in the course of his official engagement in India, extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, the government and people of Plateau State on the passage of their son.
Buhari expressed the belief that Pwajok’s demise is a great loss not only to Plateau State but Nigeria as a whole, given his invaluable contributions to the enthronement of peace in his state and development of the country.

“His life touched so many people. He was loved by so many. That is why there is grief all over the state and many parts of the country,” the President said.
