 Winihin Jemide Series (WJS) and Youth Experience Days Africa (YEDA), the organisers of a youth empowerment event, have announced that Brazilian legend, Pele,
will be visiting Nigeria in August 2016.
The organisations revealed this on Friday, July 15, 2016, at a news conference held in Lagos, Punch News reports.

Pele is expected to stay in the country from August 11 to 12, 2016, before proceeding to Ghana for another visit.
The anticipated visit to Nigeria will be the second for the decorated football veteran.
His first appearance in Nigeria was in 1967, during the Nigeria civil war. Following a 2-day armistice, football lovers in the country had the opportunity to witness Pele play against Santos, in an exhibition match held in Lagos.
His second visit to the country shall bear almost the same complexion as his first.

The legend will serve as a motivation for young athletes, most especially those who want to begin a professional football career.
Tagged “WJS/YEDA Legend Edition’’, the event shall feature a street football competition where 44 youths will be picked from the street and sports clinics.
The organisers have promised a high level security for participants at the event.
