Gross evening in Calabar, as cultists retaliate

A suspected member of Axe confraternity, whose name was given as Emma Actor was on Wednesday killed along Palm Street by Mayne Avenue, Calabar by alleged members of Klans cult.

The death of Actor, rumoured to be known for  notoriety in the Calabar South (the suburbs of Cross River’s capital city) was said to been carried out by three young men suspected to be members of Klans confraternity.
Daily Champion gathered that the operation was in retaliation of a killing carried out on a member of Klans cult few months ago along Atamunu Street of Calabar, by six gunmen suspected to be members of Axe cult, of which the said Emma Actor participated in the operation following a lingering feud between the two cult groups.
Since then Klans cult members have been on rampage hunting down Axe members in retaliation of the dead of that their member, our reporter gathered further.
Out of these six Axe men that were said to have carried out the operation on Klans men three so far have been gunned down with the killing of Wednesday making the fourth of their said successful operations.
A source said the late Emma Actor nicknamed ‘legend in Calabar South’ was gunned down just while he was about boarding a tricycle at Palm Street by Mayne Avenue after which his assailants clammed on him with machetes that ended his life on the spot.
According to the source, “Just this evening at Palm Street by Mayne Avenue a legend in Calabar South, Emma Actor had gone.”
“Evil goes for evil,” the source remarked.
“He was about to enter Keke (tricycle) when three guys dragged him down and used cutlass to cut him. Shot him once and butchered him,” the source narrated.
When contacted on telephone by  our correspondent, the Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State command, DPS John, as at press time said he was not aware of the incident.
