Adele Named British Richest Celebrity Under 30

It’s hello from the other side of rich and famous for British singer Adele as she has been named the richest British celebrity aged 30 and under for the third consecutive year.

The multiple Grammy award-winning singer who toppled One Direction off the top spot in 2016 has managed to keep her throne in both 2017 and 2018 after her estimated wealth went from 61 billion naira  [£132million] to 68 billion naira [£147.5million].

The 2018 list which was released by Heat Magazine ranks “Shape Of You” hitmaker, Ed Sheeran number two on, moving him one place ahead of the third position he ranked in 2017.  He knocks off Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe from third place to move closer to Adele on the list while Radcliffe moves to third place.

Although Adele has been keeping a low profile, she still manages to be a cash-magnet. In 2017 alone she pocketed four billion naira (£9million) from record sales, while her world tour last summer earned her a massive 19 billion naira (£42million).

There’s also talk of a 10 billion naira (£22 million) year-long Vegas residency in the future.

Ed’s wealth has gone from 24 billion naira (£52 million) in 2017 to 43 billion naira (£94million) thanks to money from his third album “÷” (six million copies sold and counting) and ticket sales from his £225million-grossing two-year world tour.
