UPDATE - Nigeria Records 542 Fresh Cases Of COVID-19

 


According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)

, Lagos recorded 99 new cases, the highest for the day.

As Nigeria battles the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, 542 new cases were recorded in the country on Monday, February 22, 2021.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos recorded 99 new cases, the highest for the day.

Other states with new cases include Kwara-91, Ebonyi-48, Ogun-44, Kaduna-42, Oyo-33, Ondo-25, FCT-24, Kebbi-23, Osun-20, Ekiti-17, Nasarawa-12, Imo-11, Delta-10, Gombe-9, Kano-8, Katsina-7, Rivers-7, Edo-5, Plateau-4 and Bauchi-3.

The agency also disclosed that they were 193 community recoveries in Lagos State and 113 in Kwara State.

According to NCDC, a backlog of deaths were recorded in Lagos State

Nigeria now has a total of 152,616 confirmed cases. 129,300 patients have been discharged so far with 1,862 deaths recorded.
