{PHOTO/VIDEO} Youths and suspected Yahoo boys stage protest in Osogbo, accuse EFCC officials of extortion

 

There is tension in Osogbo, the Osun state capital as youths

and others believed to be suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo boys’ staged a protest over repeated arrests carried out in the city by operatives of the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

 

EFCC operatives had stormed Adetunji Estate and Hallelujah Estate in Osogbo to arrest suspected internet fraudsters on Monday night May 17 but were prevented by youths in the area who stopped them from allegedly taking away 20 vehicles belonging to the suspects.

 

This morning, the suspected internet fraudsters stormed Lameco Junction and Dele Yes Sir Junction to make bonfires and mount roadblocks.
