BREAKING - 21 Army recruitment applicants died in Jigawa accident – Police

 

The Police in Jigawa has said the 21 persons who lost their lives in the state

died after a bridge collapsed in Gwaram Local Government Area.

Spokesman of the Command, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam disclosed this to newsmen.

He explained that the incident happened on Sunday at about 6:00 am, when a Hummer bus with registration number FYK 406 ZA carrying 18 passengers from Kano to Adamawa and an unregistered lorry conveying three passengers fell into a collapsed bridge covered by floodwater.

Adam said all victims were evacuated to Basirka hospital and were confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
