{PHOTO} Police Presents N3.9m Cheques To Families Of Deceased Officers



 As part of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) welfare package/insurance scheme, the

Commissioner of Police Yobe State Command, CP Haruna G. Graba has presented cheques of Three Million Nine Hundred Thousand Naira to Five families (Next of kin) of deceased of the Police personnel who died in active service in the state.

This was contained in a press statement signed by DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Yobe Police Command, Damaturu on Thursday.

According to the statement, “the Commissioner of Police, while presenting the cheques appreciated the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force under the able leadership of the IGP Usman Alkali Baba who has prioritized the welfare of Nigeria Police personnel and families of deceased officers to promote their basic, physical and material well-being”.

“Furthermore, the Commissioner of Police has extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and enjoins them to be prudent and utilize the money given in a manner that will improve their welfare and well-being”.

“In response, the beneficiaries expressed joy and promised to utilize the money prudently and thanked the Inspector General Police for his kind gesture”.

“Meanwhile, the commissioner of Police reiterates the commitment of Nigeria Police Force to the welfare of both serving members and families of deceased personnel and urges them to put in their best in the fight against crime and criminality in the State”.
