UNICAL disconnect self from John Ewa, Claiming to be a student

 The Administration of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has denied itself from

the recently arrested kidnap kingpin, John Ewa. 

Mr. Gabriel Egbe, Admin of the Institution, in a press statement issued on Wednesday, September 28, stated that school management arise on a media report stating that “John Ewa, alias, John Lyon arrested in connection with kidnapping activities by the Bayelsa State Police Command is a graduate of the University of Calabar”

“The Body of the University of Calabar has explain as fallacious, a news item making the connecting and linking their prestigious ivory tower to the recently arrested kidnapper, John Ewa”, the statement read. 

According to the Registrar, the said “Mr. John Ewa  was never our student of this University,

The statement urged people of the public to “discountenance any notice linking Ewa to their prestigious University.”
