Nigeria defeated USA to advance to the U-17 World Cup semifinals for the first time

 

The Flamingos, Nigeria's U-17 women's national team, have advanced to the U-17 women's World Cup

semi-finals this year.

For the first time in the competition, the team would go to the last four. The competition is now taking place in India. 

In the quarterfinal match on Friday, the Nigerian girls defeated the USA on penalties to go to the semifinals.
