Adeleke Takes Three Significant Steps As Governor of Osun (See Details)



 Since taking office on Sunday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has made

three significant decisions. 

According to Naija News, Adeleke changed the name of the state from "State of Osun" to "Osun State" after taking the oath of office and loyalty. 

As well as changing the state's slogan from "The State of the Virtues" to "The State of the Living Spring," Governor Adeleke did so. 

The governor also gave the order to immediately freeze all government bank accounts until further notice.

In addition, he annulled all appointments made by the outgoing governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, with effect from July 7, 2022, and declared that the Oyetola administration's decisions will be reviewed. 

Atiku Abubakar, the PDP's presidential candidate, and Ifeanyi Okowa, his running mate, will both be in attendance, as will Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party's national chairman, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Akwa Ibom State Governor Emmanuel Udom. 

Ayo Fayose, the previous governor of Ekiti, Governor Duoye Diri, and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State were also in attendance.

Chief Rashidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, his wife Omolola, Erelu Olusola Obada, a former deputy governor of the state, and Otunba Oyewole Fasawe were also in attendance. 

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, and the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi are among the traditional rulers present at the event. 

Titi Atiku Abubakar, the wife of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Dr. Olajide "Jandor" Adediran, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, and Oluwole Oke, a former contender for governor of Ondo State, were among those present at the event.
