Favorite teams that will sign Cristiano Ronaldo following Manchester United's departure

After Manchester United cancelled his contract, the clubs who are favored to recruit forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window have been identified.

Recall that Ronaldo's contract with Man United was terminated after the Portugal captain attacked the team, including manager Erik ten Hag, in an enraged interview with Piers Morgan last week.

After the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo's remaining seven-month contract with Man United was canceled, making the 37-year-old free to sign with a new team.

Chelsea is among the bookmakers' front-runners to sign Ronaldo after Manchester United cancelled

his contract on Tuesday, according to Betfair.

Todd Boehly, the club's chairman, was interested in the concept of Chelsea potentially acquiring Ronaldo during the summer, but Thomas Tuchel, the club's previous manager, declined the chance to add the five-time Ballon d'Or winner to his roster.

Since Tuchel was gone and Graham Potter took his place, the door may be open for the Blues to launch another Ronaldo bid.

Ronaldo, who formerly played for Sporting CP, is presently the favorite to join with the team.

Newcastle United, Roma, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and any MLS team are a few of Ronaldo's other top targets.
