Finally, Rooney responds to Ronaldo, "age has caught up with you."

 

Legendary Manchester United player Wayne Rooney has commented on striker Cristiano

Ronaldo's most recent Piers Morgan interview. 

Ronaldo blasted Rooney, Manchester United's manager Erik ten Hag, former teammates Gary Neville, and others in an interview with Morgan. 

Rooney was allegedly envious of Ronaldo, the former England international, since "he finished his career and I am still playing at a high level," according to Ronaldo. 

Age has now caught up with Ronaldo, according to Rooney, who also insisted that the Portugal captain is having trouble accepting the change.

He is a tremendous player, Rooney told CNN (via United Zone). He and Messi are perhaps the game's top two players. It's not criticism; all of us experience the effects of aging, and Cristiano is having a difficult time adjusting to that. 

"He gave an interview, which has gone viral. Some of the comments are a little weird, but I'm sure Manchester United will deal with it after they see the entire video and take the necessary steps."
