Ibadan teenager sentenced to prison for fatally killing a colleague

 


A sales representative, Opeyemi Oginni, 18, was sentenced to be remanded in the Agodi Correctional facility on

Thursday by an Iyaganku Family Court in Ibadan for the suspected murder of his female coworker. 

Oginni was accused of killing by the police. 

Patricia Adetuyibi, chief magistrate, rejected Oginni's argument. 

Inspector Folake Ewe, Oginni, allegedly killed his coworker, a 15-year-old girl, on November 5 at around 9:00 a.m. in the Ipapo area of Okaka in Oyo State, according to the prosecution attorney.

She claimed that the suspect and other others sold the "New Life" dietary supplement. 

According to the authorities, Ms. Oginni discovered a revolver on the road and shot at his colleague, striking her in the leg and ultimately killing her. 

According to her, the offense violates Section 316 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000 and is penalized under Section 319. 

The subject was postponed until February 9 so it could be discussed.
