Fuel subsidies are part of organized crime, so I'll end them. — Peter Obi

Peter Obi, a presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has compared Nigeria's

petroleum subsidies to organized crime.

If Obi wins the presidential election next month, he will end fuel subsidies.

The former governor of Anambra State bemoaned in a tweet that the federal government spent more money on gasoline subsidies than on education.

He also promised to clear up the uncertainty in Nigeria's ports administration.

Obi said that we would put Nigeria back to work.

“We are going to clear up the uncertainty at the Ports Administration and put this nation to work," he wrote.

"Fuel subsidy is an organized crime, and if I'm elected president, I'll get rid of it right now.

Which logical nation will spend more on subsidies than on healthcare, education, etc.? - PO
