Governor Adeleke appeals the tribunal's ruling after rejecting it

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has disagreed with the electoral

tribunal's decision to declare his victory in the June 16, 2022 governorship election invalid.

The parliament announced Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC as the election's victor on Friday, January 27, citing his vote total of 314, 921 to Adeleke's 290, 266.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Adeleke responded by calling the ruling "a miscarriage of justice" and saying it was "an unfair interpretation against the will of the majority of voters."

"I urge everyone to maintain their composure. We will challenge the ruling, and we are confident that justice will be served. We want to reassure our people that we will do everything in our power to keep this highly regarded.
