"The reason Wizkid won't be appearing at Peter Obi's campaign concert" Management is speaking



Wizkid's manager, Sunday Are, has distanced both the artist and himself from

the performance, calling it a sham. 

Wizkid's management has responded to reports that he will perform at a campaign concert for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi. Wizkid is a superstar musician from Nigeria. 


A week before the presidential election scheduled for February 25, 2023, an alleged claim circulated that the "Ojuelegba" hitmaker is scheduled to perform at Peter Obi's presidential campaign in Eagle Square, Abuja. 


A flier with the strong words "2023 OBIDATTI SHOWDOWN MUSIC CONCERT" online features a picture of the singer beside Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. 

Wizkid's manager, Sunday Are, responded to the alleged performance in a post published on Wizkid's manager, Sunday Are, responded to the claimed performance by separating himself and the artist from it and calling it a scam in a post uploaded on his Instagram page. 


He also revealed that he is looking into legal options to use against the people who created the false article.

Sunday Aare posted a picture of the flier with the words "false news" scrawled all over it.

Please beware of this poster and the information provided by the event's organizers as Wizkid and his management are not responsible for any harm and have no knowledge of this event. As a result, he will not perform at the event as advertised. The people who produced and disseminated this misleading material are currently being investigated for possible legal action. Wizkidnews
