Adedoyin, the CEO of Hilton Hotels, and two others were given hanging death sentences



 Dr. Raheem Adedoyin has been given a death by hanging sentence by the Osun State High Court in

Osogbo for the murder of Timothy Adegoke.

In his ruling on the case on Tuesday, Justice Adepele Ojo, the chief judge of Osun State, also sentenced to death Adeniyi Aderogba and Kazeem Oyetunde, two employees of the Hilton Hotels in Ile-Ife.

Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student at Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, passed away in November 2021 at the Hilton Hotels in Ile-Ife, Osun State, according to ONIKEWIDE.

Magdalene Chiefuna, Lawrence Oluwole, and Adedeji Adesola, three Hilton Hotels employees in Ile-Ife, were released and found not guilty by the court, while the seventh defendant's hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

Due to requests made by both the prosecution and defense attorneys, the court disclosed the cause.

Prior to the verdict, Osun State High Court's premises security was reportedly stepped up, according to a previous report by DAILY POST.

Along with other hotel employees Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwole Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem Adebayo Kunle, and Adedeji Adesola, Adedoyin, the chairman of Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife, was charged.

The defendants were accused of 18 counts, including conspiracy, murder, and breaking an oath of silence.
