BREAKING - Hilda Baci increases the cooking record to 100 hours for the Guinness Book of Record



 In order to beat the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours, Nigerian

chef Hilda Bassey Effiong, also known as Hilda Baci, stretched her cooking to 100 hours.

On Monday, May 15, 2023, Hilda accomplished a historic milestone when she broke the record for the longest amount of time spent cooking by a single person.


Baci's best buddy @ama_reginald announced the expansion of her marathon cooking challenge from 96 to 100 hours in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon. We are working 100 hours because I requested my baby to make it a round figure.

By 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Baci had completed 96 hours of cooking, breaking the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.

To surpass the previous record, Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.

Baci began her four-day cooking marathon challenge at Amore Gardens.

She will continue to prepare food until the 100th hour to extend the record.
