NYSC Moves Orientation Camp to Plateau

Due to security concerns, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has

moved the orientation camp from its original location in Mangu, Plateau State to a temporary location in Waye Foundation by Buken Academy Doi-Du.

This was announced in a press release that was released yesterday by the director of press and public relations, Mr. Eddy Megwa.

Armed men broke into the Farin Kasa, Kerana, and Sabon Gari settlements on Saturday in the Mangu District of the Mangu Local Government, killing some residents and setting numerous homes on fire.

The terrible tragedy spurred locals to condemn the murder of at least 15 persons on Saturday night in the neighborhood and demanded that security personnel confront the perpetrators, who they claimed to be Fulanis.

The 2023 Batch 'B' Stream One Orientation Camp for Plateau State has been moved from the Permanent Orientation Camp in Mangu to Waye Foundation, by Buken Academy Doi-Du (Temporary NYSC Orientation Camp), in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, according to a statement from the NYSC.

According to this information, all prospective corps members are required to show up at the new orientation camp (Waye Foundation by Buken Academy) on the days mentioned in their call-up letters.
