Green Africa decreases airfare between Lagos and Ibadan



 In an effort to reduce traffic congestion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Green Africa Airways has

announced the introduction of reduced flight tickets between Lagos and Ibadan.


The airline claims that because of the continuing road work, their service provides a practical substitute for the gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Lagos-based airline had started selling tickets for as little as N6,500, according to a tweet made on Twitter on Saturday by the People Democratic Party.

The statement claims that this development is just one of several initiatives made by the Oyo State Government to enhance living circumstances for its citizens and Nigerians in general.

The airline is expected to start flight operations between Ibadan and Lagos for just N6,500 (six thousand, five hundred naira only), in order to reduce traffic congestion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, according to a statement in the post. It was also mentioned that the governor had stated intentions to enlarge the airport in his #Omituntun2.0 agenda, in addition to the ongoing work and the development of the airport road.

And it said, "The governor has also outlined plans to expand the airport, in addition to the existing construction and expansion of the airport road in his #Omituntun2.0 agenda."


It was mentioned that several Ibadan and Lagos residents had welcomed the construction as a method to raise their standard of living and get away from the gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
