BREAKING - Bobbi Kristina Brown's Former Boyfriend, Nick Gordon Died Of Heroin Overdose

Late Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of late Bobbi Kristina Brown was reported to have been found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest on New Year’s Day...

Following an autopsy, the cause of death of the 30-year-old’s death has been established as a heroin overdose.

Florida medical examiner Tracy Corey ruled out trauma and disease as the cause of death and determined that Gordon was killed by ‘heroin toxicity’.

Gordon was hospitalized for seven hours after being found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest on new year’s day.

Some of the substances found in Gordon’s system included morphine, midazolam – a powerful sedative – and Naloxone, a drug typically given to overdose victims to try to reverse the effects of heroin.

Joe S. Habachy, Gordon’s lawyer, previously opened up to PEOPLE about his client’s death.
“My heart is heavy today after learning that my longtime client Nick Gordon died at the young age of 30,” he said.
“While I cannot speak to the specific circumstances of his death, I can say that it’s been truly heartbreaking to have witnessed first hand the total devastation that drug addiction has wreaked upon a group of young friends, all of whom were loved and had immense potential.”
Nick Gordon’s death came three years after he was found liable in the wrongful death case of his former girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

Brown, 22, was found unconscious and unresponsive with drugs in her system in the bathtub of the Georgia townhouse she shared with Gordon in early 2015.

As a result of the case decision, Gordon was ordered by a judge to pay $36 million to her estate.

Brown’s mother, Whitney Houston died in a similar situation. She was found face down in a bathtub at a Los Angeles hotel in February 2012 on the eve of the Grammy Awards.

Her death was attributed to cocaine abuse and heart disease.
